We’ll tailor your belly boat fishing adventure to the season, your group’s objectives, and your schedule. Here’s how it works:
- Location Selection: We’ll choose a fishing spot that best suits the current season and your group’s preferences.
- Meeting Point: We’ll agree on a convenient meeting location on your way to the fishing site. This could be a McDonald’s, Wendy’s, a small-town intersection, or the crossroads of a state route. From there, you’ll follow us to the fishing area.
- Walk to the Lake: Depending on your preference, the walk to the lake can range from a very short walk (park and fish) to a five, ten, or fifteen-minute walk (or more). A shorter walk provides a smooth transition from your car to fishing without cutting into fishing time. The choice is yours.
- Arrival and Orientation: Upon arrival at the lake, we’ll provide an orientation on belly boating and discuss strategies for approaching the lake.
- Getting Ready: You’ll sit 6 inches above the water on a comfortable, integrated boat cushion seat. With fins that fit over your booted waders, you’ll stay warm and dry even in colder weather, as you’ll be in the water only from the knees down.
- Safety and Comfort: Each belly boat includes four separate flotation devices: two pontoons, a 6-inch thick boat cushion seat, and an adjustable seat back. Optional life preservers are available for adults, and children are required to wear a PFD at all times.
- Gear Storage: Our belly boats are equipped with backpack straps, zippered gear pockets, lap nets, and carry-all pockets, making it easy to hold everything you need for the day.
- Equipment Provided: We supply the belly boat and fins for everyone. If you need chest waders, rods, and tackle, let us know—we have extras!
- Guide Assistance: Your guide will stay as close as you like and provide as much or as little instruction or assistance as you prefer.
- Catering to All Skill Levels: We accommodate groups with varying skill levels. Whether you’re new to fishing with plastics or an experienced angler, we help everyone adjust to local conditions and understand the intricacies of each lake, including presentations, retrieves, and hook sets.
